1984 SVO trans problems

I have a 1984 SVO with some trans problems. It hates shifting into first...it pops out of 1st gear, and it's a pain in the *** to get into.

I figure it is the synchro rings, but I'm having trouble locating the rings.

My question is:

Are the rings specific to the 1984 SVO? Or will any t-5 rings work? And if I need specific 84 SVO rings, where can I get them?

84 is non-world class. Pretty sure they are specific.

Do you have the factory quadrant? Mine had similar symptoms, replaced it with an aluminum quadrant and adjustable firewall cable, problem solved.
