o.k. guys I'm sorry I have'nt been around for a while. my computer crashed and I just dion't need one right now. -$$$ if you know what I mean. I can make the supports for whoever wants them but here's the deal. I called and with todays crappy economy the parts have gone through the roof price wise. For me to break even and get the stuff I need 5-10 orders, preferably 10 so I can get somewhat of a discount on a bulk order of parts. Here's another kick in the butt, they will be $85.00, I'll cover the shipping. This has me making about a $10. profit on something that takes an hour to build. Thats not real buisness oriented but I don't do it for money but to support club members. Like I mentioned earlier I don't have E-mail and verrrrry limited access to the SVOCA website. If you would like to get in touch w/ me send me a text message to 6784461071. If a buch of you guys want to get together and buy a bulk order it would be great and if you can wait I will send them with Bud to the reunion or ship them to you. Thanks for your patience, Chris Hadden

Since there are a couple of styles floating around, would you mind posting a picture of the ones you make?

ok, I AGAIN have had to clean out this thread due to some REALLY rude people. Don't make me do it again, or I'll use the ban button, AS I clean out the thread.

FWIW I've had Chris wing supports on my car for probably 2 years and about 6-7 HPDE. They are great and do their job well. After each event I need to snug them up again, but its expected. I think these look the best, and I've gotten quite a few compliments:thumb: on them (not sure why).

I had better sign up for a set, my upper wing is developing a not-so-
nice sag. I do not have texting ability nor do I have Pay Pal. How do I get in
on the group buy?
Thank you.

I'd say call him...
That texting number works as a phone # too :)

Ditto here as well. I know nothing about text messages and assumed I needed a special device to send Chris anything. Sorry if I instigated a stepped on thread.:flush:

I definately want to get in on the group buy and, it seems, I've done all I can
to make my want/need known. I left a message at the above phone # and
tried to leave a pm on site here but his box is full. Any more suggestions,
please? I don't have Pay Pal so I'll need his home addy to send a cashier's check from my CU.
Thanks.

Thank you Navy but I did leave my phone # at the above phone/texting #
when I called Chris this morning. We'll see what happens....otherwise, if I don't hear anything into next week, I'll get back to you with my phone #.

All of these various wing supports will apply a new pressure on the bottom of the hatch glass. Has anyone ever had their glass crack or break because of the new load. I'm not talking about the load from going 135 mph, the load just from everyday driving and bumpy roads.
Just curious

I've had Hadden's bi-wing supports since 1996 or 1997 on various SVOs of mine ... and up to 135 mph on a bumpy road. Never an issue. These should have been put at the factory.

I don't think its that much load to stress the window that much, but then again, I'm just a backyard engineer

OK let me try this question.
To what amount do you folks snug up on the wing? Lest say, snug up to make wing level in center as at sides? (Using the underwing holes as hight points)
There is maybe a 1/16 inch sag on mine in center, is it OK to "lift" the wing a bit?

They get placed in the two 'screw holes' towards the middle of the bi-wing. I just make mine 'snug enough' to keep pressure on the supports and to raise the sag a tit.
Kind of hard for me to answer it over the key board...
