  • White face overlayes?

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?
Do they stay adhered well over time?
Does anyone have or can anyone take a picture of them at night?
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

The ones I have come from SVPU - not the ones that were listed on here earlier this week for sale. SVPU's are digitally printed on heavy mil vinyl (not laser printed on a home printer and paper). Nor do they have any "Ford" logos on them. They been on my 9L for a few years now. NO problems.

OK I'm confused now. Is there more than one type? I just saw a pic with a 10k tachometer, but the one bud just posted appears to be factory style. I like the factory style better. Any other differences? Different manufacturer?

I bought some low priced ones and they were just like Bud described, printed on a laser printer on flimsy film. They sucked. I threw them away.

        Buy the ones from SVPU.

Yup. Big time differences in quality and function. I've seen two or three different ones out there since SVPU started making them. The ones SVPU makes are exact replicas of the factory gauges with the exceptions being: labeled to 140mph and white. The boost gauge goes to 18psi ... not some weird labeling to 22psi. I'm not how that can even be correct .. same with the 10K rpm scale... and there's not a LOGO on them. As I pointed out, SVPU's are made from heavy mil vinyl and has a very nice quality fit/finish - they're NOT laser printed paper like some of the ones out there you find on eVilbay. This set on my 9L has been on there since late 1998 or early 1999. Many people unfamilar with SVOs think they're factory.. that's how nice they look. Yes, they're twice the price you'll pay for the paper knock-offs... but well worth the extra $$$. SVPU charges $34.95 per set.

For more pics of the SVPU ones .. click here

If you get some, you're welcome to ask me how to install them. It's not hard, pretty straight forward .. but there's a couple of "tips" that makes it that much easier.

I am in complete agreement with what Bud says about the overlays from SVPU... quality product and they look great too. I had bought the Phantom series guages for the a-pillar from Autometer... and I wanted to have the factory guages match them in the white color. I've always loved them in my Cobra Convertible and just have to have them in the SVO

Bud also commented on the price as they are double the "copies" that you find out there... but really at $34.95 they're practically a steal. Most companies that offer overlays for the newer Mustangs get upwards of $120 to nearly $200 for them... comparing to that 35 bucks isn't bad at all
