  • Rear End Miss aligned?

My rear end seems to be miss aligned with my rear fenders. It is more towards the passenger side. I have MM pan hard bar and LCA's with adjustable upper control arms. Is there a way I could adjust the rear end?

Check all of the things mike mentioned first. You can "shift" the rear end using the panhard bar, but that is not what it was meant to do. You may want to go to MM and download the panhard bar install instructions and verify it is adjusted correctly. Something may have loosened up and shifted.

also... if the rear has had new bushings installed... make sure the bushings were tightened with the full weight of the car on the wheels.

If the bushings were installed without the weight on them, it can put the rear in a bind, and make it do all kinds of strange things.

When I got my car aligned this spring the guy looked at my car from the rear and took some measurements and said that my rear was also over to the right. I dont remember by how much, but it is noticeable when you look at the tire and wheel position compared to the wheel opening lip. I had noticed it before he said anything but didnt get concerned because the car seemed to drive just fine and my wife has followed me and never noticed the car going down the road crooked. The right side tire rubs on hard bumps also.

I thought that the cars were just built that way as just another odd quirk of the svo's for some kind of handling trick.

When I bought my car, it too had a clearance disparity between the left and right wheel well. Mine was shifted to the driver side. The car was also minus the factory SVO wheels, and had some body damage on the passenger side in front of the wheel well like the car was slid sideways into something. I don’t have any rubbing or handling problems, but suspect the rear end is shifted left due to a collision with a curb or something. New control arms and possibly lowering springs are in my future, so I may need to address the shifted rear then.
