  • Steel Bearing Reainer?

I just got my fresh rebuild from Hanlon with a new steel bearing retainer and was preparing to put it in the car. Hanlon had used a UPS buble pack over the input shaft to protect during shiping and the stcky flap was stuck to the steel tube of the bearing retainer. When I went to pull off the packaging, the steel tube pulled right out of the aluminum housing.

    My questions:
Has any one else had this happen with a new bearing retainer?
Is it supposed to be a slip fit or a press fit?
Got any suggestion on how I can make this work?

I'd go for the phone call route first. Heck, it is a fresh rebuild afterall and you paid for the new/unbroken retainer.
