  • duals for 84

I want my car as stock as possible but for 84 the exhaust was single as you all know.
the only thing I want to altar on the car is the exhaust,
    converting it to dual exhaust
not for performance but because I have always loved the look of the two stainless tips
anyone done this before, if so please tell me what I have to do

    Thank you

Good tip on the fuel pump! Probably get the 86 system and have a muffler shop fab the Y pipe from the converter to the 2 mufflers. For that matter, the V8 mufflers and tail pipes might be much cheaper. It might be a tight squeeze to get a y pipe in there. You might have to change the cat too to make more room as imagine they are different on the 86. It shouldn't be too difficult if they only need to make 1 pipe.

where would I relocate the fuel pump ?

If it is to hard I might just stick with stock
the muffler is shot on my car

it is still the factory exhaust!!!!

You can use any aftermarket intake style fuel pump. Majority will tell you to do it once and get the 255 (high pressure) lph. You'll have to change the mount bracket and rewire the ground.

Do a search, it's been discussed before ... and there's a couple of threads that give a better explaination on the modification.
