Well I have been on a quest to get myself a new cyl. Head or port the one I have. Of course I always check what is happening on E-bay every once in a while. Well the two searches have culminated into me purchasing another SVO. I looked over the photos and read the description and saw what COULD be an aluminum head.....maybe it had the tell tale esslinger tensioner and race eng. pullies....So why not get it
I made arrangements to pick it up Saturday (3rd) all the while not sure if it had this head???
Picked up the car...first impression...What the H E LL r u thinking getting yourself into this. Removed the crude cotter pin hood setup to have a look see YES!!! It has an aluminum Head ...perfect ...Here is your $$$ sir ThankYou
Fast Forward a 4 hour windy drive home and put the car into the garage and have another look see under the hood.... Midnight.

The next morning I am excited to see the rest of this beast. Right away I noticed the Rods Header with external wasetgate topped with a Tial unit
next was the rotated upper sporting a forced4 throttle body setup and 3" intercooler piping to a Large 3" thick intercooler. I was happy to see these mods and realized the former owners 6000 dollar investment and the owner before him had a claim of 15k in mods.
I pulled the valvecover to notice the internals were only coated in assembly lube...It has not even been run...After pulling the head I could see the blueing around all the ports remenants from the port and polish it had recieved. The lower was extensively ported also. Once the head was off the bores were exposed to reveal no signs of use at all the cross hatching was visible and a clen deck surface was showing. the front has the essy lower underdrive pulley. I next wanted to check to see what computer was in it ...La or could it be a PE? trouble light in hand I opened the door removed the kick panel sprted through to pull out the harness plug ....No computer? but instead a large black plug with wires running out followed them to under the pass carpet, pulled it back and the gold glow of a brand new SDS-EM4 unit was revealed...this explains the RC engineering injectors and MAP sensor in the bay. Since I was squatting on the floor I looked under to see Tubular upper and lower control arms new konis and an 8.8 rear mated to a FMS aluminum driveshaft. I noticed parking the car that there was a nice short throw shifter I wanted to investigate further since everything else was turning out great this revealed a pro 5.0 power tower w/ adj. stops I caught a glimpse of a label hearby a0nd read on the side of the perfectly detailed transmission "full race transmission by ProMotion"
To top this all off I went through the rest of the car and found the body is in excellent condition, underneath is spotless, the hatch and hood are shot and all the SVO specific parts are there and in pretty good shape just some bad spot repairs that have not been sealed and exposed to the elements.

My plans I am not sure of?? I am thinking making a daily driver with the body and parts I have and keeping the goodies for the green car and selling some to re-coup the cost of this purchase
What do you think???

Oh and the dash pad is perfect!

You double suck.

Ken Potter doesn't even suck to that level.

(FYI newbies, double suck is a previously unattained level of jealousy by the rest of us on a fine score by the purchaser!)

Has anybody ever attained the "triple suck" level?

It took four years for someone to rise to double suck level over Ken Potter.

For historical reference, Ken Potter was first branded with the "YOU SUCK" status by Paul Becker at SVPU for landing a killer deal that made us all jealous.

Of course we all rejoice in a friend snagging a killer deal, so the nod of reverence from us to them for being in the right place at the right time is YOU SUCK!!!.

For most of us, if it were not for bad luck, we would have no luck at all. I cannot quite tell where this should fall on the suck-o-meter, it might go all the way to 11.

Congrats

Ken I have already updated the status in the registry :)
I will get some more pictures soon I have the head removed so far and a few other things before I put it away in storage till fall (winter project)
I have things I have to do this summer around the new house before I can start a new project. I first have to complete the final details on the green car for the summer so I can enjoy it as much as possible. Maybe take it to carlisle?
