Just got the SVO home...and just noticed something on the p/s outer marker light. The orange reflector dealey, that sits on the outer edge of the lens...has fallen off and is laying inside the housing. First of all, how the heck do I remove the entire assembly? Looks like a tight squeeze...not sure if the air box has to be moved or not. Second...is this a problem that anyone is familiar with? I guess I will try to stick my finger in the bulb hole if possible and push it back to where it is supposed to go. But I don't know if it will stay. Does it snap in? Can't really afford a new lens right now.

The best way to get at the light is to remove the wheel then remove the plastic wheel well guard. I think it takes an 11mm?
What you will want to do to repair the light is to carefully pry the lense away from the housing using a thin putty knife with a 1.5" wide blade. Insert the blade between the two pieces and push it through glue alll the way around. The lense should pop out then you can repair the reflector. I recommend using a silicone based adhesive so that you can break it apart in the future for cleaning(de-yellowing) purposes. I used fish tank silicone sealer on mine.Mike S

I never took off the wheel, the fender liner or bothered jacking the car up. I parked the car with the right tires up on the curb, which left me enough room to slide under the car with a creeper or beach blanket to lay on and look straight up at it from the back side. Counter clockwise to pop the light socket out and a 7/16" deep socket on a 1/4"drive wratchet or just a 7/16" wrench for the 2 mounting nuts.
I've never parted the front and back halves (never needed to, mine seemed to come apart on their own, haha), so consider GAboySVO the expert there. I've seen his refurbished lens work photos and I consider him a very competent source of info.
Best wishes on your new acquisition, and don't get too frustrated or impatient. Once you get the car right, then you'll say "Oh yeah, that's why I wanted one (or 2, or 3, or...)

My passenger side outer marker has been like that for years!! I have never bothered taking the light apart to fix it since it does not rattle around or cause any problems. The light works fine and unless you REALLY look at the light, you don't notice the orange reflector laying there!
I have never had a problem taking off any of my lights. Our driveway is on an incline and I just lay on the ground when I need to take the lights out for any reason. I never take anything off the car to remove lights.

But it's not really my highest priority right now. I'll try taking it apart in a few days, since it's obviously halfway there already.
