  • Mis-matched interoir colors

I am finding two different colors inside my SVO. A medium gray (which I believe is original) and a gray-blue. Some parts (like the center console) have been painted or dyed that non matching gray-blue. Is there a good dye/paint kit I can use to do the whole interior?

I think Im going to pull EVERYTHING out, put in a new carpet and dye the entire freaking thing.

    AdamJ,

In the future, try doing a search on this forum...it will give you every possible thread which discusses your issue...

Here is a thread on this very topic...

richsvo, Thanks. Actually I had just read through that thread the other day.

I guess my bigger question was which color is the correct color, but assuming everyone is discussing a charcoal gray I think I have a winner.

        AdamJ,

Don't forget that one "charcoal grey" and another "charcoal grey" will not always be the same...one company to another, one batch of spray to another, etc.

Like stated in the other thread, I don't ever recall seeing an SVO that the entire interior matched exactly anyway...even from the factory. They might have matched at one time, but we're talking 16-19 year old cars here...sun, heat, etc. have taken their toll by now...

I noted that, so I bought that 4-can kit mentioned in that thread. 1-Can of primer w/ 3 cans of dye... hopefully that will be enough.

            Adam,
Make sure you call them on your order and check the status. I waited 2 weeks and nothing. I called today and they said they didn't send it yet They apologized and it was sent out today.

I used the Ford one and it matched perfectly. I don't know if they still sell it. No primer required.
