Ford 999 report says 2.73 rear end

I just got my 999 (build sheet) report from Ford. It says "2.73 Rear Axle Ratio" along with the SVO stuff. The '86 actually has a 3.55 or something, right? Was this just a default thing they put? Did the "SVO Performance Package" cancel that?

86s have 373s.

Mike is correct:

7.5 = 3.45 gears (84 & 85 SVO's)
8.8 = 3.55 gears

All other gears matched ratios for both diffs from what I remember (i.e.- 2.73, 3.08, 3.27 & 4.10).

Only the 84s had the 3.45 rear ratio. 85s had a 3.73

As for the Ford 999 report .. suppose you could keep it on standby for an emergency ration of toilet paper. That's about all it's worth.

Obviously a glitch in Ford's report database. Your 84 should list 3.45 gears.

'84 gone,now have '86

does it list the correct tire size ?
most 999 reports have that wrong too.
