hi all-
I've found a set of nice seats, without frame, on evil-bay, and was wondering if the seat frames are the same as other mustangs? they would be perfect for the comp-prep I'm planing on restoring.
thanks all!

I've seen LX and GT seats mounted in SVO's. One guy had used the seat bases from his SVO seats to mount the GT seats. These were in cars that the owners would not have gone to any trouble to custom fit anything into. My conclusion is that the seat mounting frames are interchangeable.
I think the Question here is this,Will the covers and padding from the SVO seats fit a regular mustang seat frame,I don't know the answer to this,But I am intrested in knowing.
Don
No,not seat tracks, this man wants to strip the seat covers and padding from his mustang seats and replace them with SVO covers and padding.
He is restoring an SVO,he does not have SVO seats,He now has mustang seats in his car.The question is can he recover the mustang seats using SVO stock seat covers.
Don
OK,
I believe the question has been answered by Pat,the SVO seats are Recaros,so the covers from the SVO seats will not fit the regular mustang seat framework.
Don
OK Phil, I looked at the seat photos in the auction.
They appear to be all there. I would contact the seller and get more info. The photos show the bolsters a bit darker than some SVO fabric seats that I've seen, but all mine are leather except for the parts car that I bought and those may be very faded so I'll not make a hasty decision..
These look like what you need for what you want to do but maybe you should look at the car that you're thinking of buying and take it home before you start buying up parts for it.

J/K- I'm just locating parts for when I need them. the evil-bay seller is a good guy (hangs out here even!!!), so I'm not concerned about being eburned. we'll see how it looks this weekend.
