While driving my SVO today the brake light on the dash came on and stayed on! I thought maybe the switch for the emergancy lever was stuck. but still did not go out. Checked the brake fluid and was a little low, fluid was low. any input on what to look for? Looked in Haynes book it said valve was out of center and the system needed to be bleed and brake aplied hard to re-center anyone ever heard of this?
Yeh I hope that it just needs to be centered! The brakes do not feel any different than before. The front do not grab harder than the back vise verse. Thanks for the input Eric. it looks like I got all kinds of problems every time I turn around! Will get that done tomorrow before the rain comes again for the eighth straight weekend. Can a new one be purchased? And where can you get one? Thanks Jeff Dunevant
Someone was looking for one recently and said they were obsolete from Ford. They suggested an after market one. From what I recall, all the after market ones were adjustable.
I did see an add from Cobra Specialities for a rebuild kit for the gen 1 cars. Maybe they do one for the newer cars. Not much to it.
Hey guys,
went to change out tire and rim today from mishalf earlier in the week! Had tire blow out and trashed the rim and lower quarter panel. Put new tire and rim on and like magic it went out? i did look at the back brakes and it is time to put new ones on right away! Would this cause the light to come on? Where is the best place to get good brakes for the SVO? Thanks guys and I guess these cars have a mind of there own huh?
