You can get a front plate bracket from 50Resto.com. What I have seen is that there are four screws that hold it on. Two dead center of the bumper drilled into the plastic cover or two just below the face of the bumper on the angled portion. Using the later position will allow you to remove the plate without sightly hole.
Check in the member's car section and you will see an example there. Also, look in the for sale section. Some of the photos there will have the front plate.Mike S

Georgia don't need no stinking plate!
I have one that I'll sell you for $10 plus UPS COD charges. Here in Georgia we don't require front plates. It might be hard to see but there are 2 detents / locator marks on the front / flat side of the bumper cover. If you use the frame as a pattern and line up the holes you should be able to locate the 2 holes on the under side. I'll even throw in the correct screws that fit the pre-drilled holes in the metal part of the bumper... Let me know...

Get a front plate holder new from Late Model Restoration Supply. It will be the plastic type used on the 87-93 LX cars, but will work just fine on an SVO. Word of advise though, replace the plastic rivits with metal ones. The plastic ones just never seem to pull tight.
my car is an original Michigan car so it never had a front plate. There were no marks or indents on it for plate placement when I installed my front plate holder for Texas.Last edited by lonchair; 07-11-2003, 12:51 PM.
