  • Chrome Wheels

A riend of mine has informed me that some members are running stock wheels that have been chromed. I would lik to pursue the chroming of my wheels but cannot find out information in regard to who does them and at what cost. Would appreciate any information someone could give me.
    Thanks,

    wheels

I havent seen chromed rims but I have seen some highly polished rims. I would call wheel works from the members deals section. I have a pair of rims they restored for me and they are mint.

      Dont chrome

I've heard that if you chrome your rims, they hold the heat in more than not chromed.

For a racing or autox car, you probably wouldn't want to chrome your rims. Polish is a good alternative but more upkeep.

I only mention this because many of the people I used to autox with told me not to chrome.
Hoping to get on the track soon

The car is used mainly for show. It sees very little driving time except to and from shows. Heat wouldn't be a problem in this situation. What I am trying to eliminate is that nasty brake dust that is hard to remove. With the chrome it would be a lot easier to get rid of since the surface would be smoother.
