  • Shocks :(

well -- just in case anyone wondered what a busted shock looks like

I bet this is what my strange thump (sounded like it was coming from the front end) is...

Yeah - I just wiped one of the front ones down so I could monitor it. I hopes its not leaking, but we'll see.

What are you planning on replacing it/them with?

      Ok

But that is a pict of the rear shock. how could that be causing the noise up front. Not trying to be a smart A$$. I am having a strange botoming out noise in my driver side front as well. Just fishing for info and hopefully I will figure it out.

PS I dumped the onion heads and that might be my prob.

Noises don't always come from where they sound like they are comming from ---
sound can transfer through other body parts, -- Especially a "thump" type of sound...

                blown shock

Eric I pulled my driver rear wheel and I too have a blown shock. Let me know if that fixes you front end noise. I am ordering my yellows in a week or so. BTW does anyone have a pict of the bump stop for the 86 front end?

                  I can show you one---

it is just the rubber on the bottom side of the onion heads --

my C&C Plates don't have them --- and I'm not sure there is a good way around it -- this is one of the reasons I haven't lowered my car.

                    I was

I have CCplats on my car and when I hit a hard one I smack it hard. (didnt sound good) I am thinking of adding a poly bushing or something to keep the car from hitting so hard . I think this is how I blew my frirst set of koni's out.

Hmmm... mine are from Maximum Motorsports, and they came with the bushing that goes under the plate. I'm hoping it will work with my car... I haven't had the chance to get them on yet

I still have those, a set of H&R Sports springs, and an adjustable rear sway bar to put on... all from Maximum Motorsports.

Not ever enough time in the day it seems

Regarding th Yellow Konis. Someone at Koni told me that they were adjustable without removing them from the car, like the ones for SN95 Mustangs. Then I spoke to someone who just got a set for his 87 or so Saleen and he said they were like the Reds, they have to be removed, collapsed and twisted. Can anyone tell me for certain.

                          koni

I am not sure what your freind ordered. I have seen three sets on fox cars that were adjustable from the inside. I will call koni to see if this is still the case. When I get back from my buisness trip next week I will probably order mine.
