      UNDRIVEABLE

YEP, UNDRIVEABLE WITH STOCK TIRE SIZE. THE BACK OF THE CAR IS OK, BUT THE TOP OF THE FRONT TIRES ARE IN THE WHEELWELL AND CAN'T BE TURNED WITHOUT RUBBING. THE REASON I DECIDED TO CHANGE SPRINGS IS BECAUSE ONE OF MY FRONT SPRINGS WAS BROKEN. I LIKED THE STOCK RIDE HIGHT BUT FIGURED I WOULD TRY SOME LOWERING SPRINGS. THE COMPANY I BOUGHT THEM FROM SAID IT WOULD ONLY DROP THE CAR AN INCH AT THE MOST, BUT THEIR AD ( MAC ) IN MUSCLE MUSTANG SAID 1.5" - 2". THE COMPANY I BOUGHT THE SPRINGS FROM IS GIVING ME A FULL REFUND INCLUDING SHIPPING ( MORE THAN FAIR, I THINK ) BUT I'M STILL OUT THE INSTALLATION LABOUR AND ALIGNMENT. DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD SET OF STOCK SPRINGS THAT THEY WANT TO SELL?
      THANKS
      GARY

          springs

Go with a set of Ford Motorsport "B" springs....can't beat'em for the price.

            My opinion.

My vote is for Global West.

We manufacture muscle car suspension parts, including: control arms, springs, brakes, bushings, sway bars, subframes, leaf springs, coilover.

            They make SVO specific springs.

              spring debate

I put the motorsport C on my car. Never tried the B. I think summit had them for 135. lowered 1 in the front and 1.5 in the back. the car rides no rubbing.

KIWI are you actually recomending the ebroch spring or are you being sacastic??

                I'm serious.....

Eric, I have the Eibachs in my SVO...which are firm; good ride height & then set the Konis between medium and firm ride......Sometimes a little "too" firm if you are trying to drink coffee, but you can get to used to it..........

                  no pic needed

I am not trying to be a smart A$$. I havent heard too much good about the ebroch spring. You will be one of the first. I know they lower a lot more than the motorsports and the stance looks sweet but most people complain about rubbing and such. that is why I went to a taller spring. I personally havent had the opurtunity to ride in a car that has em. So I realy cant compare. but we all learn a little more each day

Kenny Brown (Hypercoil) springs on mine. lowered it about 1 1/2" and rides almost like stock...
I can't remember the price, but they were comparable to others.
See this pic for stance nd handling in a corner...
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

Eric, Nothin' about being a smart a**....My car is low; No doubt about it and do have to watch the more "serious" dips if I got the girlfriend with me/ I could use about another 1/2" inch in the rear....But no prob by myself.....

                        Springs

I also just installed the Motorsport C springs and am very impressed

                        I got them from gefracing.com

                        $109 on closeout + 20 shipping.

I had them the next day.

No rubbing and it looks perfect.

                        The fronts are specific rate,

I usually by progressive until I realized how bad they sway on weight transfer until they get passed the soft rate.

On extreme lane changes it is scary because the rate is not linear and you tend to lean way too much, but they do ride better
