SVO Passenger Side Roof Grab Handle

What's the deal on this item? I have seen references to them before. My 86 SVO doesnt have one. Were they only on the 84's? Only on cars without sunroofs?

Just curious.

The "Oh $%@&" handle? I never have been able to figure that one out myself....but little known trivia about the SVO interior is there was an available convienience decor option. It was small - covered something like "lighted mirror sun visors" and whatnots - thinking that handle was part of the option...but I've been wrong in my memory recall before

Do you mean to tell me that not all SVO's came with Lighted mirrors in the sun visors? I also have the Oh $%@& handle. What else came with this option? Any references to information on all available optional equipment?

That's what I'm saying ... there's also two types of materials...vinyl and cloth. Looks funny when you see a "cloth/lighted mirror" sun visor in a sunroof car (all sunroof cars came with vinyl headliners)

Well guess what?..................My sunroof equipped SVO has cloth lighted visors, vinyl headliner, an no Oh Sh** Handle. Not being the original owner, I will assume a previous owner swapped in the lighted visors. As I have mentined before, my SVO also sports a previous owner installed overhead temp and compass console out of a LSC or MKVII.

That overhead unit is cool Mike...but it's not from an LSC or Mark VII....It appears to be an aftermarket unit. I part out a lot of Mark VIIs and they don't look like that one....

I thought it might have been you that told me it came from and LSC. Guess not. I like it, unfortunatley it lights up green.....not red.

Not really - from what I've noticed by looking closely at every SVO I've ever come across - the lighted mirrors were more of the norm than not....the oh crap handles however - I can't ever recall seeing one in a sunroof equip SVO....but there could be a first.

Nope, wasn't me...that is the first I have seen of it. It is somewhat similar to the Mark VII unit but also very different...The Mark VII units also light up green

My car also has cloth/lighted mirror visors and a vinyl headliner. It is a sunroof-equipped car...

My 84 silver car has no sunroof, vinyl visors, and an OS handle. Do all Mustangs have the holes drilled for this handle?

I'm pretty sure they do.... but I wasn't 100% sure on that - so I didn't answer it earlier. But it's an option....so I would think all would be pre drilled and then plugged if not optioned along the assembly line.
