Certified title history from DMV will track car from manufacture to dealer through all regestered owners including current owner.

A title history search thru the Florida DMV might tell you the original dealer.

yup - yup ... and it only cost $15.00 to have it done. That's what I paid for one back in 1997.

Check the bottom of your window sticker if you can find it.

The FAQ tells you how to get a 999 report for free from Ford. That info is included in the report.

Security reasons? That's pretty lame. Years ago I got a copy of the original dealer invoice from Ford for my 57 Tbird. Ford had thrown them away and someone who worked at Ford and was active in the Tbird club saved them and made them available to members.

That sounds more plausible than "security reasons". An ex Ford Employee saved records from late 60's-early 70's cars when Ford sh!* canned them and he ended up doing similar services as the 999 report for those owners.

Security reasons, HA!!! Like Al Qaeda is gonna infiltrate these records and seek out and destroy all Ford dealerships (1/2 or more of which no longer exist).

I remember someone wanting the original dealer's info for a really neat reason. He wanted to get the dealer's original licensse plate frames to put back on his car. That would be a nice touch, I must admit.

Come to think of it, if anyone runs across any "Foulger Ford" license plate frames please pm me.
