David Lanman owns H.O. Fibertrends and he owns a SVO .. and he's stated that his SVO hoods are built with the "racer" in mind. Take that for what it's worth.
It's it quality for a concours car? No.
Is it a viable source for a SVO hood that will serve as a usuable piece? Most definitely.
If I personally needed a hood and couldn't find an original one within my budget and close enough to pick up myself - I would buy one from H.O. - but I'm into more racing than showing my SVO at this point.

HO Fibertrends SVO Hood
Dave makes a nice hood and hatch. Both are significantly lighter than the stock pieces and the fitment is spot on. The hood accepts all of the Ford latching mechanisms and bolts on in just a few minutes. The hatch struts cannot be used to hold the hatch up though. The tension when the hatch is closed would break the hatch. I use a length of pvc pipe to prop the hatch.
Dave does not recommend using the fiberglass doors on a street car due to side impact safety reasons.
I have the hood and hatch on a track car and am very pleased with the quality of the products. Once the hood is on the car the only visible difference is that the edges are thicker than the steel hood. I would recommend using hood pins with the hood. There is a lot of flex compared with the the steel hood and the front corners really dance around at speeds above 70. I drove mine from Omaha to CA and would recheck the hood latch at each gas stop just for piece of mind. The buffeting while passing large trucks could be a bit unnerving.
Don't expect to visit HO Fibertrends and pick up a hood from stock. He ususally makes them as needed and needs a week or two to make one. I believe HO Fibertrends was the OEM supplier of the 95 Cobra R hoods for Ford.

Re: Fenders?
Here you go Ken:Originally posted by Ken Potter
This is a non SVO question but are they making fiberglass fenders to fit fox bodies 79-93? I'm considering building a track car out of an 89 coupe and could work with anything that came close enough ( fill SVO specific mounting holes ).
