86 Rear hatch decal or emblem

I own a 86 svo and I have noticed other 86s have plastic emblems on their rear hatches. I have the mustang and SVO in a silver decal on my hatch. On my fenders I have the plastic emblems. is this correct? Please look at your car and let me know. I am not looking to do a concourse resto but when I repaint I want it to be right.

I believe you should have badges all the way around. This info is listed in the faq section, by the way.

It should have the chromed plastic emblems on both the fenders .. and the hatch.

The 84s had the silver or black "shadow" stickers.

I think my car was hit in the driver side rear at one time. There is a small bondo crack behind the rear wheel. The gastank dosnt sit perfect, the studs on my spoiler are broken, and my car was repainted halfway down using a body stripe to hide the blend. So it is possible that this is not factory. I haven't seen another 86 like this so maby it is true,

Late 1984 production (sometime between Jan. to April) switched over from the stick on label to the chrome emblem on the rear hatch. My late 84 has the later and that's the way it came from the dealer/factory.
