What is the biggest tire you can run on the stock SVO rims without rolling the fenders. I will be taking off the Quad Shocks if I need too.

I run 245/45/ZR16's on my stock 84 SVO rims (Goodyer Eagle F-1's) with no rubbing and no rolled fenders using the stock springs. I also have quadrashocks. Beware that the clearances in the rear vary somewhat from car to car. Some others have had to roll the rear fender lips to get this combo to clear.

I have 245/50/16 Continentals, stock ride height. The left front just barely rubs a hole in the plastic inner fender panel on tight right hand turns. I'd wager that Kiwi's car is lowered slightly.
I usually just putt around like an old fart. I was surprised the one time I really exercised the car how well the continentals got with the program.

Stock Size 225/50/16 is Best on SVO Rims
Believe it or not, the best size for us with the stock SVO rims is the STOCK SIZE 225/50 /16. There is less flexing of the sidewall than with the wider 245's on the same rims and the footprint of the tire stays planted better on the pavement. Plus they fit easily without rubbing, even with lowered cars.
As for what tire I recommend, for the street I'm partial to the Bridgestone RE-750's. Great traction, great treadwear and reasonably priced. I have them on my Mark VII with 17 x 9 Cobra R's and love them! Next time the SVO needs tires, it's going to get them too.
