I have been looking hard for a deal on a front clip for my 85,finaly found one, when I recieved pics.it is from 85.5 car.
The bumper cover & headerpannel are different, are they not?
Anyone know for sure?
Don.
the bumper cover and headlight support panel on all SVOs are exactly the same. Ford designed the bumper covers (and so forth) to accept the flush mounted headlights (like found on the 85.5 and 86s) but they had not yet recieved DOT approval by the time the 84s hit the showrooms.
Only thing you'll have to change - is 'bolt in' your 85 style headlight bucket assemblies.
That's good news Bud thanks,& ignore the PM, I found both fenders, hood, steel bumper with absorbers, bumper cover, header pannel, everything except light assys, mine are good.
bad thing,I just spent the day Sat with dolly& hammer saving my fenders,oh well maby someone will need them who doesn't mind a little body filler.
While you are in the neighbord-- will a mustang radiator core suport work on my car ,or do I need to shop some more?
Thanks Don
Yes, there was a little more damage than I first expected, Kinda hate spending all this time& money on it,but I love watching her squrm every time I tell her what it needs next & how much it will cost.
Then I remind her that it will not be her driver.
Then she gripes, because I am building a car that she can't drive.
Round & round we go. LOVE IT.
Don
