Hey everyone,

Glad to hear the reunion was a success, I hope to have my 84 ready for next year. Anyways,

does anyone know if the leather steering wheel from the 84-85 GT is the same as the SVO minus the center pad, and if so, are the center pads interchangeable?

The 84-85 GT had a rubber wheel and yes it will fit. I had one on my car when I bought it. Never tried swapping the center pad. It looks like it will swap but I will look at my old wheel tonight.

The "parts" car that I bought from some guy has the GT wheel with the SVO center pad, so it appears to fit to me.

BTW, i am getting ready to redo the interior, any suggestions/hints? Also, any source for plastic spray paint?

I have a black 84 just had the engine rebuilt and body repainted.

I also plan on refinishing the rims and rebuilding the suspension.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Dont use the aluminum bushings in the front. I cant wait to take mine out. My teeth hurt.
