Headlight Clips

I was wondering if anyone has found a suitable replacement clip for the headlights on an 86. I've looked all over and can't find anything close. Did any other cars use this same setup like the escort Gt??? For that matter does anyone have any extras laying around???

Well I guess I'll answer my own question..... a substitute that looks like it will work is a headlight clip from a mid 80's escort, topaz, or any other car that has a headlight setup similar to the escort. It uses one retaining clip. Different than the SVo's and smaller but it will hold the light just as well as the original svo clips. I got quite a few at the junk yard today.....gotta clean em up and put em on.

I believe aerostar will work too

are the aerostar bigger like the svo compared to the escort......escorts are about half the size but the little indent is the key to holding the headlight.

Sorry -- I don't remember for sure, I just remember that they do have the clips
