blowoff valve?

Blow Off valves don't work well on the 2.3 liter Turbo motors. You might try a ByPass valve.

On our cars with the vane meter, the blowoff valve lets unmetered air into the engine and causes an over rich condition and usually makes the motor want to die.

Some of the better valves are not as bad as some of the cheaper ones, but if you use a by pass valve and plumb it back into the intake tract in front of the turbo it eliminates the stumble altogether.
