there were 2 cars with cobra rims on them ---
one was Jason's 84 from AL
the other was Ted's 86 (8ntno50) from IL
they wer both black cars.
edit -- 93 cobra rims -- I believe that was Jason (jzleach) from Maryland.
the ones above were newer cobra rims.Eric C

93 Cobra wheels...
Pretty sure Bud has the 93 Cobra wheels on his 85 9L.
93 cobra wheels are the tri-bar rims, painted black, polished lip, and polished center-cap.
I run tri-bars on my 84 but they are just the metallic silver.-Mike Malone (svoca #416)

and you too can have some for min $$ .. cause they're not real "93 R" wheels.
Take a set of 94-95 GT 17" Mustang wheels ... polish the lip and paint/powdercoat the centers. Personally - I like the look Chris Hadden and Ryan Cloud have with their wheels (they use for track use) .. they're painted charcoal gray in the center.

Re: Overall height?
Yes. He didn't have center caps on them .. and I don't think the lips are polished.Originally posted by Kiwi
....Bud, Chris' wheels were still the '94 17's (painted)?
I wouldn't know. I have 235/40s on mine. If you click on the link above, I listed the overall height and width on the first page.Originally posted by Ken Potter
Bud, As we discussed at the reunion if you could give me the overall height of you tire / wheel combo ( 235 / 45ZR / 17 ? ) I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks, KP

Yeah I know they're not real...it looks pretty easy to do the "aftermarket" ones.....I was thinking of doing that. Thanks for the info.... I have a pic of some of the real ones in a SVT book I have. Doesn't look that challenging to reproduce.Last edited by venomizd93; 10-22-2003, 12:26 PM.

The other car with the Cobra R's (could have been look-alikes) was Don Bishop's jalapeno red 85.5. For some reason the black insets really pop against the jalapeno red.
When I get home tonight I will post a pic I took of his car at the show.Ted
