ok, when i was onlt turning the engine over, the valve cover gasket leaked>>>because there was only rtv sealant that squeezed out, i.e. no gasket. i bought the one piece gasket and put that on, now after turning the car over, when i come back to it, i see (after a week or 2) that there is oil leaking from my turbo. there is oil on top of the engine strut thingie, and on the k-member, and about a teaspoon the first time and tablespoon the second time on the ground.i will get to see how big the puddle is today>>> since the car finally started! but i think it seems weird that it does this after it has sat. i had to fabricate a flange for the oil return, because the return line that i got with the car was a smaller flange than on the airesearch (turbo-coupe ihi?). i had to move the stainless corrugated line very much to set it up, well it broke, so i cut the stainless return and put in a rubber hose. it seems like it shouldnt leak, but apparently it does. byteme steered me toward a site for eip tuning hardware. they supposedly have flanges for 15 dollars for the t3, well the part in the block- what would i do about that? any body know what sizes the threads would be if i can just get an a.n. fitting that is in line to go directly into the block that screws into the engine block? how about a replacement for the oil return line? the stainless one is around 135>>>>way too much! anyone have a situation like this? what setup did you do? also for the aerodyne VATN aerocharger, they use some kind of jet oil that is self contained in the unit,(i think with ball bearings though) why cant we just run this stuff through a normal engine to create even longer life for everything?

    Kenny,

The rubber splice that you put in probably won't last long under the heat and pressure. You will need to get a replacement tube or a high temp hose. You might ask at a local hydraulic store for the hose, but your best bet is to get the replacement from Motion Dynamics. They also have the orginal oil return line and a stainless braided version. Look in the Lounge section hear as someone posted that he has two of the oil lines for sale under NOS SVO parts.

The best valve cover gasket is the Ford rubber one. Get it at your local Ford dealer.

      working on it

kenny, i am working on a new replacement line for ur car, i need to get that flange i told u about and i and going to make a line at work that will fit the flange on the turbo and the other end i will make to fit the block adapter, still need to get the flange tho, i will order it monday, and hope to c it this week. the hose i am going to use is hydralic hose 3000 psi stuff and high temp, i think this might solve a lot of peoples problems with those 180.00 replacements out there, not to cut out thier business but come on 180.00 for a little piece of metal? if it works i will put the specs on here so everyone can make one, i will only have about 45.00 in parts when i'm done, maybe not even that much. kenny email me or call me, kevin
