how much on average to powder coat

well what is the average to get some rims painted or powder coated? im getting some tri bars this weekend. Do they make just wheel paint or something? i've heard that there is such a thing.

Shop around and get quotes. Most of them work off a ~$100 minimum for a batch. a batch of 4 may cost the same as a batch of 6 or 8. If you can wait because you have less that the max quantity, some will combine your partial batch with the next order for the same color and then cut you a price break.

Some powdercoaters just provide 16 basic colors and clear. Others claim that they can color match. Several also do ceramic coating for high temp applications. This may be a good time to pull the air cleaner, radiator brackets, tabs and miscellaneous doodads to spiff out all those underhood items.

I had my LSC wheels done about a year ago, cost me $120 for a chrome silver then clear powder coat for all four wheels. I had them sand blasted prior to powder coating so add $60 to that.
$180 for all.
