Can I restore these or should I just buy new ones?

Someone mentioned polishing wax, but what is that?

    New/Cleaned headlights

I wet sanded mine with 2000 then 3000 3M Wet/Dry then polished smooth. Looks very good. Before were as yellow as the forum buttons. Total investment: less than $10 plus about an hour.

3M Marine plastic polish from a boat store works great!
I used it on all of my front lights. Take them out, and sit in front of the TV and polish away... Takes about an hour each. Worth the effort though. The repros weren't available when I did mine, but I still would try to restore yours ans save the money.
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

I use a paint scrub or step 1 paint cleaner fom Meguires to clean the yellowing off of my headlights!!! It works great !! Made the original headlights on my 86 svo with 165,000 miles look new again!!!
