3" pipe

Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you have ever just ran a 3" pipe without a cat or muffler. I have been around race cars for most my life and without a muffler on it now my SVO seems much less noisy then I remember some of my cars being. I am shure that the turbo takes alot of the sound, and you can hear it for shure but are there pros and cons other then sound?

Turbos decrease the volume of wide open exhaust quite a bit...that's why it is less noisy than other cars.

The only other thing is the point the exhaust ends...it is MUCH louder if it dumps under the car than if there is a tailpipe.
