Murker head? Tool?

Has anyone ever taken a head off a merkur engine? It has wierd 12 point bolts and metric or standard do NOT fit them. Does anyone know what tool to get? Thanks

Those are regular 12 point head bolts. You need a 12 point socket to take them out.

I all ready tried they dont fit.

i just took apart a 85 XR7 motor it has the same 12 point bolts.
i think i used a 9/16.
BTW i'm looking for a Non-cracked bare head for the rebuild.

I figuired it out sorry for the inconvienence everyone. I am planning on useing the head just got to take it apart and and make sure its not cracked. Thanks for the help i'll erase this post soon. Thanks.

i took a look at the bolt today....it's a 13mm 12point
