  • 98 Cobra wheels on the car.

I just got my 98 Cobra wheels on my 84 SVO.

I haven't switched to any SN-95 stuff yet. I just took .5" spacers and moved the fronts out from the hub.

Tires ar 245's up front 275's out back.

Looks flat out wicked, Now if it was just fast.

It's the SVO action package. "Looks fast, but isn't"
    I'll post pics later tonight

Are they the wheels that look similiar to the "r" wheels?
Did you have to use the spacers or did you use them so you could use the center caps?

Yeah they are.... they are only 8" wide R's are 9" and then they rub like crazy. So the 98's are not only cheap (125$ NEW each) but look great and are better for the FOX bodied cars.

Yeah I used spacers up front till I can get the SN-95 Suspension parts in the next month or so. I can't wait to get the center caps on and the right A-arm offset for those wheels.

      Take care

I think he needed the spacers to get the center caps on. The 98 Cobra wheel is a different style than the 94-97 wheels. They are similiar to the Cobra R wheel.

Yep, I thought he was having inderference issues with the actual fenderwell. I was going to get a set of 99/01 Cobra wheels but I didn't feel like getting SN95 front spindles and stuff to clear the centercaps in the front.

                  Lowered?

                  Hooptie,

Is your SVO lowered or are those wheels and tires filling up the wheel wells like that?

it has BBK lowering springs that drop it roughly 1.25".

                    not what you'd call a "luxury" ride:p

i think 275 40 17 shouldnt be mounted on 17 x 8 cause the tire doesnt get it full foot print on the ground rather run a 255 40 17 and get a better contact patch. plus the smaller tire runs a few dollars less also recheck those lugnuts after a few miles of driving with spacers!

i sold my 96 cobra rims for a set of polished 01 cobra rims but i cant use the front center caps-

theSVTkid - What are you going to be installing from an SN-95 to make it work???

I was going to install the sn-95 spindles (machined to fit the SVO ball joint) and then 13" cobra brakes

                        what are your plans?
