Intercooler Questions

I have owned my 86 SVO for several years and am ready to take the plunge into a front mount intercooler. I was ready to purchase a spearco kit but now I am not sure due numerous complaints about them lately. Is there one intercooler that is best to modify if I want to keep my A/C and keep a fairly stock apperance. I'm not afraid to modify one (such as a NPR or Volvo)to work in my application. Also is there a direct correlation to outlet/inlet size hoses to HP gain? And finally how big is the T3 turbo inlet size and TB inlet size?

a big NPR fits perfectly in the front of a SVO and works very good.

The NPR won't be easy to fit if he's wanting to keep his A/C.
