  • New SVO engine harness

I wish someone (Painless) would make a SVO engine harness. Mine just down right sucks. Two hours just to splice and solder the altenator and distributor wiring. Just when I would think I was done I would find another crack, bare wire or poor connection. (Venting is now complete)
    Just another '84 9W.

That's the biggest reason I got rid of the 84 I had about 10 years ago. Cracking harness wires would leave me stranded when I would least expect it. I wonder if all the connectors are even available any more?

Edwards, huh? We were stationed there in 69-71. I have GREAT memories of Edwards and the Mojave desert!

You mean Painless Wire out of Ft. Worth Texas right? A friend of mine got a new harness for his SVO from them. He supplied them with a wiring schematic and they made him a harness.

Ford still has some of the wiring pigtails available, I bought one not too long ago for the TFI in my '84.

Hey Lonchair thats good news. How much did your friend pay for the harness? How did they know the length and connectors just from a wiring diagram?

Not sure on the specifics of cost or the length issue.
