  • please help with brakes

HI, i have a 1991 Chevrolet K5 Blazer...... the reason i'm here is because it has a rear disc brake conversion... and i just found out the calipers are from a 1984-1986 Mustang SVO. i rebuilt the calipers yesterday, and i'm very impressed with them.

the calipers are missing parts for the Emergency brakes. i need to know where i can get what i need to hook up the E-brake. the drivers side has the bracket, but no "arm" to actuate the E-brake.... the passenger side has no bracket, no arm, and no bolt to hold the arm on. please help! i need an Ebrake to get it inspected. the parts store said they don't carry these parts. should i check a Ford dealership? i don't want to spend alot of $$$.

p.s. - if anyone has any pics of what it's supposed to look like with complete E-brake, that would be VERY helpful because i don't exactly know what i'm looking for.

    Parts that you need!

Go to the junk yard and get the parts off a Mark VII of 4dr contentional. These are pretty common in the wrecking yards! A couple of bucks and will do the trick and the extra parts you need too. Hope this helps you out?

I guess I should have looked at the pisc first! You are just missing the arms that go on the center of the cal with the gear looking thing. Then the bolt goes in the center of that and that is what your cable ataches to. i may have what you need , will look and get back to you. Here is my e-mail dunevant@comcast.net
