anyone know where to get the "silicone" hose for the water cooling lines for the turbo? i will be taking off my turbo tomorrow, to do a load of work, and i figured: whil im in there....... i got a set of water-cooled lines from "eric's svo" that i traded for an airbox. but i would like some pointers on which hoses to get and where, before hopefully noon on tuesday (thats when ill be leaving the house to go work on my car). any idea of where to buy from? do they fit around the early 85 and 84 oil lines, i.c. bracket, egr pipe, valve cover to turbo "breather" pipe, and others? or do these have to be changed along with the coolant pipes that go along the valve cover? also, does anyone have a pic of where the lines drain into the block? what would this adapter piece look like? what would i be able to substitute in its place? some drawings would be nice if pics are not available. any help is appreciated.

    hoses

You have 2 choices, The easy way is to call Brian at Motion dynamics and buy the whole set. the harder way is to take all you hoses to the local place and find something close and cut them up to fit. either way if you dont know when they were changed it would be a good idea.

ok i found them. but does anyone know the thread sizes so i can get some adapters to the block and to the turbo. also, are you sure that the intercooler supports are unnecessary? i figured if ford took the time to make them and stamp them out of such thick steel, they must be needed. i was afraid that i might be putting too much weight on the turbo and throttle body, so i put mine on. so................if i go without them, im only losing weight? because they really are a pain to remove everytime i need to work on something.

                    Hoses

Motion dynamcs has ford hoses 15.99 each. Thease are the high temp ones. Ditch the IC support bracket. it just makes things more difficult to work on.

The coolent drain line goes from the left side (looking into the engine bay) of the turbo center section to the stock block drain hole on the passenger side, rear of the block. The drain hole will have a threaded plug with a square head. All you need to adapt the drain line to this is a barbed fitting of the appropriate size.

thanks, i found those earlier and saved them. i just need to find something to serve as the adapters from the turbo jackets, and coming out of the block.
