  • What problems will high fuel pressure cause?

I am just wondering what problems will occur with a high base fuel PSI.

Higer fuel pressure w/o any mods requiring such a condition would seem to lend itself toward a running rich. Prolonged usage could result in poor O2 readings and possibly a damaged catalytic converter if the A/F is rich all the time.

An excessively rich mixture due to high fuel pressure will also foul the plugs, dilute the engine oil accelerating wear and also cause poor fuel economy. It can make the car hard to start and run like garbage. Last but not least, it pollutes the air we all have to breath.

        The reason I asked is:

I dont know who has seen my other post about my sparks plugs, but I reported that the base psi was set to 40 psi. Well after checking last night (2 times) it was set to 49 PSI. So now its at 39 psi
