Changed my struts and after changing the left side ther is some minor movement in the strut where it mounts in the onion head. i know this insnt correct. The onion head it self does not seem to be moving. All bolts are tightened properly. The right side is not doing this. Unfortunately I cant say wether or not the original strut was doing this. Any idea's
do you think maybe the nut on the strut hit a rough spot, and didn't tighten down all the way.
I just put my new koni's on a couple of months ago, and I did have a problem with one of the nuts getting tight. The entire strut rod would turn, not just the nut.
I dont think so, but I dont know. I am going to take it back off tonight. My first thought was that the sliding collar that comes on them some how didnt seat properly. I think I am going to remove the onion head and strut as one and look at it that way.
This is the second set of Koni's I have put on a mustang (first was on my 88 5.0) and I feel very confident I did the procedure correctly (I mean , how can you screw it up)
I guess I was hoping someone would say, Oh yeah thats an onion head issue or something like that.
