Stock exhaust?

Is there a resonably priced replacement muffler for the stock 85 single outlet exhaust system that will slip on in place of original? The welds are close to muffler so the pipes are salvagable and are in excellant condition, but a baffle has come lose in my original muffler and just wish to keep stock, but lose the rattle. Have looked at advance and auto zone, but from #'s cannot determine if turbo compatable, nor inlet and outlet size and overall length appropriate. Thanks for any suggestions.

Walker still makes stock replacements. Go to a NAPA store and get what you need.

Thanks, NAPA's are not frequent around here, but you are right in recommending. Seems like in the past I found they do have more o.e. type stuff. Just didn't think to try this time, will give it a shot.

You can also order a stock replacement type from www.50resto.com In fact, I just took one off of mine...
It's sitting on the floor in my garage... The muffler and tailpipe...
It has about 25,000 miles on it... and no rust. The chrome tips are still nice and shiny. I kept them polished. I'll have to check on the mufflers condition, as I had to beat it pretty good to get the slip joints apart to take off the car. I can take pics for you, if you're interested. Otherwise, it'll probably go to the next swap meet.

Mufflers the main thing in need, so if mufflers not beat on , shippings not to high, it wouldn't hurt to have spare tailpipe. Mines got almost 90t miles and has seen some outside storage. Looks good but who knows whats inside some of the bends. Be out of town for a couple days, so can't reply till Sat. night. Thanks.
