  • Its In, finally....

Well I started 2 years ago on my resto of my '86's engine/engine bay, it all started with worn vavle seals. But I finally got it back in last night after a 1 year break(for the Army), but it was all worth it once I saw it back in its home. I'll post pics as soon as I can figure out how to shrink them down to a size compatible to the site. Or maybe I'll do the Car domain thing. Thanks to all who answered my questions(more to follow no doubt). But unfourtunately I still need the new turbo before I can start her.

The first picture was rather a shocker .. it looked like you had stuffed the engine in a John Deer tractor.

BTW - the cad plating paint finish you put on it looks good.

Looks like a FMS A237 to me?

Nice work - That engine is a beautiful thing.

No the cam is a Ranger Roller I got from TA about two years ago to complement the bigger valves, and port/polish done to the head. Oh, and yes I am in the Army(pilot).

Yeah starting Jan 8th I will be flying the Mighty UH-60 warbird, it's only got 3,000 HP though...might need a turbo.

Awesome! You'll have to do some dogfights against the mighty AH-1W...Don't feel bad if it whips ya. We do it to the F-18 guys all the time!
