  • EGR Question

So from reading previous threads, I'm figuring the EGR is a good thing to have.

What is the thinga' majiggy that all those vacuum lines go into from the EGR on the passenger fender well? Theres a couple of electrical connectors and vacuum hoses going into it. Do I need to hook it all back up or can I do something else to make the EGR still work?
Hoping to get on the track soon

I believe that would be the EGR control soloniod. If you want the EGR to work -- you need to plug it back in.

it controls when vacume is passed to the EGR, and that opens, and closes the diapharm.

So the red and black hose on the bottom goes to where?
the hose with the blue connector goes where?
The top white connector that has nothing on it, shouldn't that go to the EGR valve?

            Vince,

The white plastic elbow has the small hard plastic line that goes throught channel on the firewall to the EGR.

The line with the red stripe is for the overboost sensor is not need, but goes to the vacuum tree.

The other line with the blue check valve also goes to the vacuum tree.
