Well, 140cilx said I should post this here so I hope i can get it right. I made this myself and am sharing the how-to. Its easy, just takes fitting time. The pipes are 180 mandrel bends with a 5" radius out of the Jegs catalog(page 13 part #289-42323). The legs are a bit long so cut to fit. Weld a plate on at the inner fender and use factory hole to mount. There is a K&N filter on the end in the fender. I wrapped it in header wrap to keep underhood heat from warming the tube. sorry if its too many pics.

That looks good. good, I dont want to rag on you or anything, but here are a couple of sugestions, if you are interested...
I cant tell from the pics, but it doesn't look like there is any support for the VAM. you might want to see about making some kind of a bracket that bolts to the frame to help support it.
how heavy is that... it looks like that thing weigh like 18 pounds
it looks heavy!!!Eric C

Well the two 180 degree bends and the box they came in weighted in at 14.05 lbs. The legs on each side were 12 inches and you dont need nearly that much so they get cut down. A small piece of metal is all you need for the bracket at the fender. I am not going to take it back off the car to weight it, but I am sure it doesnt weight much more than ten pounds. It doesnt suck hot air off the engine and that was my concern. No right now it doesnt have a VAM bracket. Under the Vam is a sponge block for now, but it doesnt need it. The pipe itself being all connected holds the VAM up like a blow-thru style meter on a 5.0...I have a 3" piece incorporated into the by-pass. Only a short section is flex hose now on mine.Biz closed till further notice
