I was driving on southern state parkway going 2 visit my bro when my 86 svo died... The clicking noise that had been there when the engine would idle and stuff had gotten to be extremely loud then near exit 24 on southern state (in ny, long island) i tried down shifting cuase there was a really slow guy in front of me and i hit the clutch and tried and the clutch felt very funny and it wouldnt shift and the car just went kuput after that, lol. I went into what was left of the shoulder cuase there was snow and ice still from earlier that week and the car wouldnt start and whatnot. Later on the guy told me that there was tranny fluid on the truck bed and stuff so I didnt think of it at the time but I figured the tranny was the only problem. Then I brought it 2 the mechanic and he said that the engine was shot.. I dont think he was an svo expert or nothing. I dont know where to go in my area who specializes in svo's. There is a place called mustang magic but they dont want anything 2 do w/ svos. Any of u new yorkers out there who live on long island, if u guys could contact me, that would be great! Im out in suffolk county and live in shirley.
