160...? For that much money it better be worth it.

Who is doing the work..? ( Which would be my "deal" determination of whether or not its worth it. )

That's for a NOS part. Something a person restoring their car would need. If you're looking for a performance gain on a budget, look for someone that offers ported (used) E6s or think about Bob Lee's log header. Or, you can always get one of Rod's S/S headers (not a budget piece, but worth it).

Speaking of Rod's header...is there any reason I cannot access his site? His header is the next thing on my "to do" list.

I figured it was time to put up some sort of a list. If you know of any parts or vendors I missed (prefer 2.3 liter specific vendors - NOT summit or JC Whitney) - please PM me so I can add them to the list. This will keep things tidy and in ONE post to read - not 3 or 4 pages. These are JUST engine upgrades. No brakes, no

              Number 8.

I ported the one on my car, but also installed a 3" elbow at the same time. I noticed a large increase in power, and a very quick spool up. I also ported one out for someone else, and he was happy with it. I'm not sure if he has it on yet though. I definately did a better job on his. I'll be taking mine off to clean it up some more sometime.
If you have the E6, it is well worth the time to port it out.

Email me if you're interested in letting me do it. I'm jobless right now, so have plenty of time, and could use the money. It wouldn't be expensive, ad I've gotten pretty effiecient at it after doing a couple.

I have run both an ATR header & a ported E6 on my car, I could tell no Improvment from the header to the manifold . The ported E6 will be the best bang for the buck and a lot more reliable. The only thing is not to try to port a used manifold, they become real hard after being heat cycled & will tear up a good bit. A ported E6 is good for well over 300 hp.

                      On and off topic some.

How much hp guessing would you get with a Ported E6, 3" DP, 2.5" catco, 2.5" Areo chamber, and all 2.5" pipe including a tail pipe. Using a stock older 85' SVO.

                      Thanks

I never knew a four banger could be this much fun, and I may never go back to: N/A, Autos, or V-8s again

I've ported 2 used manifolds... The manufacturers put them thru a heat cycle before final machining. otherwise, if they were machined first, they'd warp and everything would move around.
Yes, you'll go thru some grinding stones, but it's worth it.
