8.8 SWAP which SVO parts to USE

im about to swap out my stock 7.5 rear to a freshly rebuilt 8.8 out of a 87-93 gt vert and putting in 3.73 gears in to 8.8. im doing the swap cause i plan on drag racing the svo and auto crossing the car too, also my little svo took out about 6 teeth off the ring gear. well to get down to the point what rear end parts will i be able to use in my 8.8 from my 7.5 i want the disk brakes from my stock rear. i also heard that the stock brake line wont fit, so can i use the line off the 8.8 and still use it on my disk brakes? what else will i need and run into?

you are basically changing the housing only. Everything else that is presently bolted to your old housing including the axles should be used. I have done this three times and have bought new axles each time, because upon in spection, they usually are pretty rough.

could i still use the 8.8 brake line and use the stock svo disk brakes, or would i have to bend the 7.5 brake line and make it work?

If I remember correctly you need to gently bend the 7.5 disc brake hard line to put it on the 8.8. As the 8.8 had drums with a different end on it for the wheel cylinders it wouldn't work.

so im gonna have too bend the line? will i need anything to bend it with and will i pinch the line by bending it? and dont i have too bend it to mount it on the top of the pumpkin?
