I have an '86 and the upper wing of the spoiler has been removed for quite some time. It began to sag and developed a crack on the underside, so it was removed. The whole car is going in for a new paintjob and other cosmetic work within the next few weeks and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to fix this thing. My dad and I were thinking of running some kind of support rod thru the length of the whole thing?? It's not damaged enough to warrant buying a whole new spoiler. Too expensive.

Give Paul at SVPU a call he might be able to connect you with someone that fixes these spoilers, then after you get ready to put it back on call Motion Dynamics and get some bi-wing supports so it won't sag anymore. There are links for their websites here.

I'had one of their supports on my car for over a year now. Works with no problems and I drive on a particularly rough, county road quite a bit. Check in the product reviews for some pics of the support.
