  • Battery Size???

im looking for a deep cycle batt. like from optima and i was looking at sac-mustang.com and they sell optima batteries and have them in the svo engine section, i was wonderin if they are the actual size of the stock battery but if they aren't i want to know if they make a optima batt in the stock size to fit the stock tray.

Check out this site. They have the best price and also the size of the batteries listed.

I got one for my 300ZX TT garage queen. It was smaller width wise and height wise than the original Nissan battery, so I imagine it will be a bit smaller than the SVO battery.

Since the battery is held in place by a foot clamp, you shouldn't have any problems making it fit.

      battery

Yeh got one for my SVO! Tired of going out to start and won't after it has been sitting for a month or two! It is a little larger than the orginial but it will fit. It comes with a unversal kit to mount it to your car! The average price for one at AutoZone is around $100.00 or more. just my 2 cent worth hope it will help you out?

          Battery

i bought the red top one from AutoZone! The site listed above is real good price , but what do you do when you have a problem? That is one thing to remember about the warranty!

            Optima into SVO

I just bought an Optima battery from Costco. It is the red case one and cost $99.99. It is the same size as a group 24 F battery,

The stock battery size for an SVO is a bit smaller, a group 56 size, but the battery tray can be hogged out a bit to fit a group 24.

I've been running the 24F size in my 84 SVO since 1988! Most folks don't even notice unless I point it out.
