  • ported intake

So I got an LA3 ECM to match my injectors, and decided that I would go ahead and install the ported intake that I got when I bought the car since it already has the hole for the ACT. But I noticed that in the seat for injector #2, they went a bit too far with the porting and put a small hole into the runner. (see pics)

Mainly, I want to know: Can this be fixed by a machine shop? And if so, anyone know a good shop in Nor Cal (Bay area preferbly, but not necesarily). Actually, even SoCal would work since I'm in L.A. so often... or heck...anywhere in between....

It's on the engine side of the injector seal, and I was told that maybe the seal would hold.... that wouldn't be ok, right???

    Thanks

Have someone drop a bit of weld on her ( on the inside as not to get in the way of the injector fitment. ) and then have it ground down and smoothed out.

      All should be well.

Welding on the aluminum there will likely end up requiring the O-ring seat to be remachined. The weld will penetrate into the machined surface. JB Weld or a good industrial epoxy should work fine and save you time & money.
