Will the 87 head lights fit the SVO? How close are the lights can you modifi the holes to except the head lights and still make it look good?

The short answer is no. The 87 lights are to wide.
The '84 SVO uses a sealed beam type headlight. There are reproduction flush mount headlights for the 85.5 & 86 available at SVPU. He also has the mounting ring you will need to make it work.Mike S

SVPU is one of this clubs preferred vendors. They are SVO owners and will know what you need. Visit the website and give them a call..

GAboy, I see you finally mailed in the membership check, LOL!
Sid, if it's just an illumination problem then you may only need a headlight bulb, which is a separate part that twists in to the headlamp housing assembly. A standard #9004 I believe. If you do need the complete headlamp assembly, the ones that Paul at SVPU made available to the group here are made from the original factory molds and of more modern plastics that have greater UV resistance (they won't cloud up or turn yellow as easily as the originals). Paid members here got a discount on them as well.

Re: God love you...
Incase you didn't know, there are two place in Texas that sell SVO parts. Late Model Restoration Supply www.50resto.com in Hewitt (on 35, just south of Waco) and Motion Dynamics www.motion-dynamics.net in Leander (just north of Austin).Originally posted by sidunn
Who is SVPU, I have one bad headlamp and the TX Department of Transportation will not give me an inspection sticker for my SVO that otherwise is almost perfect. Please, advise... Looking for some light!
Thanks,
