  • New PE comp installed

Installed my new PE computer in by 84 1C last night.... This completes the 86 mods: Intake, Injectors, E6 manifold.... As expected marked imporvement ... Altohugh the PE dosen't idle as well. I don't think it likes the cam (Motorcraft A237). But I suppose I should go through the base idle setup and make sure that is right.
    All thoughts welcome....

My '86 has always had a periodic slight stumble at idle speeds. I think it is just the way the PE was programmed. Others here who have the A237 cam installed might give comments on their idle after the cam swap.

If you haven't done so already, you may want to clean the IAC before doing the base idle setup.

          Update

I must say that I very much like this PE computer. That said I am still having some teathing pains...Such as the new trick of the eng to hover at 1100-1200 RPM for about 7 sec. before dropping to idle around 900 rpm.
Also I do like the more aggressive timing of the PE. It has imporved the power cure.
          Input welcome...
